Overview

Here at VT Group, our business units provide turnkey engineering and logistics, enterprise Information Technology, and C5ISR services worldwide, primarily in the DOD, commercial, and healthcare arenas.

 

 

VT Group is seeking Logistics Specialist located in Omaha, NE at the Offutt Air Force Base.

Responsibilities

Coordinates logistic support for Project Managers, Management, and Cost Estimators with logistical information that ensures effective and economical support for manufacturing, installation and/or servicing of products, systems, or equipment by performing the following duties:

 

  • Determine and maintain inventory levels for commonly used materials (e.g., #10-32 x ½” screws)
  • Perform warehouse planning and management, receiving inspection, inventory, staging, packing, storage and shipping of electronic equipment and related material; operating motor vehicles and material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts);
  • Utilize a computer-based inventory and bar coding system for entry, identification and tracking of material.

 

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma and two years of experience in logisitics or warehouse support. Military experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of low voltage cabling (Telephone/Data) and or the associated parts and materials for the telephone and data industry is preferred.
  • Great attitude and willingness to have flexibility in work hours.
  • Knowledge and enforcing compliance with requirements for handling hazardous material commonly used in installations (e.g., paint, cleaning solvents, lithium batteries, other).
  • Secret level clearance; TS/SCI highly preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
