VT Group is seeking a Manager of Government Reporting located in Virginia Beach, VA.


The Manager of Government Reporting develops, interprets, and implements complex financial and accounting concepts or techniques for financial planning, control and audit, by performing the following duties.


  • Acts as the liaison for external audits such as; DCAA CAS Audits, DCAA Incurred Cost Audits, DCAA Cost Impact Audits, DCAA Contract Closeout Audits, Bank collateral Audits, and IRS Audits
  • Prepares and runs Government Reporting for the following: Incurred Cost Submissions, Disclosure Statement Revisions, Cost Impact Studies and Submission, Contract Closeouts, Government reporting requests: ACO, Delivery Order Closeouts and Accounting Policies and Procedures with flowcharts
  • Authorized to review, audit and question transactions in all financial cycles.
  • Recommend corrections and follow-through for compliance.
  • Authority to question operational activities that could have an adverse impact on company profitability. 
  • Ensures timely, accurate Incurred Cost Submissions
  • Ensures successful DCAA audit results
  • Ensures financial improvements resulting from operational changes as suggested
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelors Degree plus 8 years in a business-related field, or commensurate education and/or experience. 
  • CPA preferred. 
  • Prior Experience with Government Contractor preferred. 
  • Experience in an automated environment, preferably utilizing Costpoint. 
  • Five to seven years experience in auditing, public or prior internal audit positions. 
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret business correspondence and government regulations.
