VT Group is seeking Physical Science Technician located in Kuwait.

Specific duties include:

  • Performs standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations, follows standard work methods on recurring assignments but receives explicit instructions on unfamiliar assignments. Technical adequacy of routine work is reviewed on completion; non-routine work may be reviewed in progress.
  • Follows specific instructions, assembles or constructs simple or standard equipment or parts, servicing or repairing simple instruments or equipment.
  • Conducts a variety of tests using established methods, preparing test specimens, adjusting and operating equipment, recording test data, and pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors.
  • Extracts engineering data from various prescribed but non-standardized sources, processing the data following well-defined methods including elementary algebra and geometry, and presenting the data in prescribed form.

Qualifications

Education

  • Required: (Minimum level of education and field(s) of study required for this position)
  • Two years post secondary education or on-the-job training in Oll Lab Analysis
  • Preferred: (Preferred level of education and/or field(s) of study)
  • Associates Degree and two years training or experience basic laboratory operations.

 

Experience

  • Required: (Required work of experience, and minimum years of experience required)
  • Two years post secondary education or on the job training in one or more of the following: Oil analysis, analytical chemistry, lubrication, reliability engineering or condition monitoring. Have 1 year of experience evaluating oil analysis data and issuing maintenance recommendations (LLA II).
  • Preferred: (Preferred area(s) of experience and preferred years of experience)
  • Two years of technical training or experience in laboratory operations, mechanical engineering, or reliability engineering

 

Shall possess and maintain Laboratory Lubricant Analysis (LLA) I or LLA II certification.
